For your team

A short guide for employees. Share this with your crew so they can hit the ground running.

1. Accept your invite

You'll get an email invitation from your manager. Click the link to join — if you're new, you'll pick a password to create your account; if you already have one, you'll just sign in. That's it, you're on the team.

2. Set your availability

Open Set availabilityand fill in the hours you can work each day. This is a guide for your manager — when they schedule you outside those hours, Daypart shows them a heads-up. Leaving a day blank just means “no preference.”

3. See your shifts

My Shiftslists everything you're scheduled for — date, time, location, and role. When your manager publishes or changes the week, you'll get a notification.

4. Claim open shifts

Open Shiftsare published shifts nobody's assigned to yet. See one you can cover? Tap Claimand it's yours — it moves straight into My Shifts, no approval needed. (If a teammate grabs it a second before you, you'll just see it's no longer open.)

5. Swap a shift or request time off

Can't make a shift? From the shift, ask anyone to cover it or send a swap to a specific teammate. Need a day off? Use Request time off with the dates. Your manager approves swaps and time off — see Swaps & time off for the details.

6. Stay in the loop

The notification bell keeps a running feed of schedule changes, swap and time-off decisions, and newly posted open shifts. You can also get emails — tune which ones in Settings → Notification preferences.

On your phone

Daypart runs in your phone's browser today — open the site and use “Add to Home Screen” for a one-tap icon. Native mobile apps are on the way.
