Plain-language answers about what Daypart collects, why, and who we work with to run the service. No ad tracking, no selling your data.

Last updated: June 1, 2026

The short version

Daypart is a scheduling tool. We collect what we need to run your schedule and keep your account secure — and nothing more. We don't show ads, we don't use third-party ad trackers, and we never sell your personal data.

Who this applies to

This policy covers the Daypart web app at daypart.app and the Daypart iOS app. It explains how we handle information for business owners, managers, and employees who use Daypart to build and follow work schedules.

What we collect

We only collect data that's needed to run scheduling for your team.

  • Account data. Your name, email address, a securely hashed password (we never store passwords in plain text), and the business or organization details you provide when you sign up.
  • Product data. The scheduling information you enter to run your team — schedules, shifts, availability, time-off and swap requests, roles, locations, and details about team members you invite. If you're an employee, this includes the shifts assigned to you and the availability you set.
  • Payment data. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. Daypart does not store full card numbers — Stripe handles card details directly. We keep a record of your plan and subscription status.
  • Push notification tokens. If you use the iOS app and enable notifications, we store an Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device token. It's used only to deliver app notifications to your device.
  • Crash & error diagnostics (mobile app). The iOS app uses Sentryto report crashes and errors so we can fix them. This is configured without personal data — no user identity is attached to crash reports — so those reports aren't linked to a specific person.
  • Cookies & sessions. We use cookies and session tokens for authentication only — to keep you signed in and secure. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use your data

  • To create your account and sign you in securely.
  • To run the core product — build, publish, and display schedules; collect availability; and handle open shifts, swaps, and time-off requests.
  • To send transactional email such as invites, schedule and request notifications, and password resets, delivered through Resend.
  • To deliver in-app and push notifications you've opted into.
  • To process subscription payments for paid plans through Stripe.
  • To keep Daypart working and secure — diagnosing crashes, fixing bugs, and preventing abuse.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

Who we share data with

We don't sell your data. We do share limited information with the service providers (subprocessors) that help us run Daypart, and only as needed to provide the service:

  • Stripe — payment processing for paid plans.
  • Resend — sending transactional email (invites, notifications, password resets).
  • Apple (APNs) — delivering push notifications to the iOS app.
  • Sentry — crash and error diagnostics for the iOS app (configured without personal data).
  • Our hosting provider — running the servers and databases that store and serve your data.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide Daypart. When you delete data within the app — a shift, a request, a team member — it's removed from your active workspace. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain certain records (for example, billing records) to meet legal or accounting obligations.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. Passwords are stored hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit, and access to production systems is limited. Card payments are handled by Stripe so sensitive card data never touches our servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to address issues promptly.

Your rights

You can access and update most of your information directly in the app — your profile, your business details, and your scheduling data. You may also request to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct information that's inaccurate.
  • Delete your personal data and close your account.

To make a request, email us at support@daypart.app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local privacy laws.

Data deletion & account closure

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing support@daypart.app. We'll remove or anonymize your personal data, subject to any records we're legally required to keep. Note that data tied to a shared business workspace (for example, schedules other team members rely on) may persist for that business even after an individual account is closed.

Children

Daypart is a tool for businesses and their teams. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.

International users

Daypart is operated from the United States, and your data may be processed and stored in the U.S. or in other countries where our service providers operate. By using Daypart, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different data-protection laws than your own.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and for material changes we'll take reasonable steps to let you know.
